Currently co-founder at Simperium doing mobile development, user experience, biz stuff, plus some web and backend work. We're a Y Combinator startup (summer 2010).

Before Simperium, built the mobile clients for JamYourFace (iPhone) Duo (Android), and some other apps and games. Hatched Simplenote in Buenos Aires.

Previously a senior designer and programmer at Irrational Games where I learned from some of the greats. Led the development of Freedom Force Console, a prototype that Disney offered to buy before Take Two Interactive acquired us for $12 million. Designed the visual scripting system used in BioShock. Designed and wrote code for numerous prototypes. Led the multiplayer development of Tribes: Vengeance, a critical success

Led the development of game mods Team Rabbit and Team Rabbit 2; the latter fueled my game dev ambitions when it was purchased by Sierra (now part of Activision).

Worked on various cryptography tools at Entrust while at university. Graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Science with honors and co-op from Carleton University in Ottawa.

I was born in Victoria, Canada but I moved around a lot and have also lived in Europe, Australia, and South America.
